Color contacts

In today's society everyone seems to be dissatisfied with their physical appearance. People become bored of the same look and will change their hair color. Now not only can you change your hair color you can also change your eye color with color contacts. Colored contact lenses have become increasingly popular not only among those who have imperfect vision but those with 20/20 vision. The reason for this is simple: We live in a time were our physical appearance has become an important part of our every day lives. People want to stand out and be noticed, the also desire change. Color contact lenses can provide you with just that. However; there are different colored contacts that you can choose from - Let's explore your options.

Color contacts come in four basic group tints: Light-filtering, opaque color, visibility and enhancement tints. The vast majority of these tints are available in un-prescription form, and even those who suffer from the common astigmatism, or who require bifocal lenses are eligible for the color contact lens. Light-filtering color contacts, are one of the latest designs for color contact lenses. They are designed specifically for sport use, because they enhance particular colors like optic yellow (the color of a tennis ball) making it easier to see against backgrounds. Opaque color tinted colored contact lenses are those that can radically change your eye color. If you have brown eyes you can now sport blue or green, and you can even delve into the dramatic colors of gray, violet, aqua or amethyst!

Color contactsVisibility tint colored contacts are not for changing your eye color. These color contacts are meant to assist you while your remove or insert your lenses. They are tinted in a very light green or blue, and are also easy to find if they fall. The last of the color contact lens tints is the enhancement tints. Enhancement colored contacts affect the color of your eye, but not as dramatically as the opaque color; they are designed to enhance the natural color of your eye. Since this is the case, these color contact lenses work best for those who have a naturally light eye color.

Color contacts are great to wear, but you should keep in mind that there are disadvantages to them. The most popular of all the color contact lens tints, is the opaque color tint. This is because it has the most dramatic color effect. However; you will want to keep in mind that these color contact lenses can sometimes interfere with your vision. This is because the clear part of the contact that is designed to fit over your pupil, is made to cover your pupil when you are in well lit areas. You may find that during the night your pupil will adjust and become larger, and the clear part of the color contacts won't be large enough for your entire pupil - thus distorting your vision.

No matter what color contacts you choose, remember to wear them wisely. Feel great about your eyes, and look your best with color contacts!
